The Hitman tops the bill

WORLD boxing champion Ricky Hatton proved a knockout during the Roughyeds' 10th birthday dinner at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
The Hitman was guest speaker on a night when it was announced that coach Steve Deakin had agreed a new one-year-deal for 2008.
Chairman Bill Quinn said: "We have raised the bar this season and the coach has worked hard to supply us with a team which can play attractive, exciting rugby.
"We have the nucleus of a good side which we intend to keep while also bringing in quality players to enhance the squad.
"This club has a great history, but it also has a great future. We intend to forge ahead on and off the field."
