THE first rounds of the Oldham Table Tennis League's Divisional Cup took place last week.

In division one, Hollinwood A beat Werneth B by 10 points after conceding a 42-point start, their B side lost by 88 points against Hyde YMCA A after enjoying an 88-point start, while OTTC A overturned a 14-point deficit to beat Uppermill A by 84 points.

Honeywell B's 54-point start against Hyde YMCA B became an 18-point win in division two, First Transport extended a nine-point start over Unison A into a 59-point win, Failsworth A's 20-point start over Honeywell C became a 26-point win, while Hollinwood got the better of Coldhurst A by 56 points having started 40 points up.

As for division three, Werneth D overturned their 27-point deficit to beat Honeywell Lane D by six points, while Failsworth C found Gilders B's 20-point start too much, going down by 19 points.

Division four's inter-club match went the way of Werneth E as they won by 33 points, Failsworth E overturned a 69-point handicap to defeat Coldhurst F by 44 points, while Failsworth F saw off Honeywell Lane F by 25 points.
