Rain ruins fixtures

THE weather played havoc with the fixtures this weekend in the D & J Builders (North West) Oldham Sunday League as only a handful of games survived the rain.
In the Premier Division, Springhead Legends closed the gap at the top after picking up three points with a 4-2 victory at Hunt Lane Tavern.
In division one, AFC Church moved into third place after thrashing 3D Dynamos B 10-0.
Clayton Athletic moved off the foot of table with a hard-fought 4-3 victory at Red Lion.
There were no games in division two, while the only division three match saw Old Grey Mare move into second place with a 4-2 victory at home against White Hart, Hollins.
