DIGGLE'S first team progressed into round three of the Barlow Cup after winning 5-2 at KKS Ashbrow.
The scoreline was a fair reflection of the local side's dominance of the game, but does not reflect a poor and indisciplined performance that saw Diggle pick up three injuries and two bookings.
Goals from Scoltock, Martin, Simmons and two from Keiron Mayall saw Diggle progress.
Diggle's seconds continued their impressive march, brushing aside Wooldale Wanderers in the first round of the Richardson Cup with a 10-0 victory.
Pride of place this week went to Diggle thirds as they also progressed in the Richardson Cup, beating Lindley's reserves 4-2 after extra time.
They had led 2-0 before being pegged back and forced into extra time.
