Table Tennis

GLODWICK remain unbeaten in division one of the Oldham and District league after they beat Uppermill A 7-3.

Unbeaten performances came from Mark Ramsbottom and Billy Russell.

Hollinwood A continued their impressive run as they beat Rosehill B 9-1.

Hollinwood B and Hollinwood C shared the points, with Jack Christian winning two sets for the B team, and Gary Newton and John Flowers replying with two wins for the C team.

Werneth A are not letting their championship crown go easily as they defeated Honeywell A 10-0.

Oldham A recorded their best victory of the season over Aerospace B with father and daughter, David Griffiths and Rebecca Griffiths, both unbeaten.

In division two, an entertaining game between Grotton A and First Transport ended in a 7-3 victory for Grotton A.

Werneth C and Unison A both had emphatic 9-1 wins against Unison B and Hollinwood E respectively.

Hyde YMCA B defeated Coldhurst A 9-1, with unbeaten performances from Nick Bakewell and Dennis Bradshaw.

In the third division Werneth D defeated Unison D 7-3 with Mike Pellowe and Alan Else contributing maximum points.

Failsworth B went down 7-3 to Gilders A in another close game.

Four players contributed two wins each in the 6-4 win for Coldhurst over Honeywell E. Malcolm Wills, David Harris and Terry Holland won for Coldhurst, and Dave Watts struck twice for Honeywell E.

Steve Smith and Neil Tomlinson were unbeaten for Grotton B who defeated Failsworth C 7-3, while Dave Hanson's treble couldn't prevent Unison C going down to a 7-3 defeat against Honeywell D.

In division four, Uppermill C defeated previously unbeaten Coldhurst D 8-2.
