Leaders remain on a High

THERE were mixed fortunes for the D & J Builders (North West) Oldham Sunday League clubs competing in round two of the Manchester FA County Cup.
Orb progressed with a 5-2 win at VIP, the score by which White Hart were beaten by Salford Celtic.
In league action, Premier Division leaders High Crompton CC were 4-2 winners over 3D Dynamos A, Orb saw off Failsworth Athletic 4-3, while Springhead Legends lost by the same score at Chaddy End.
Dog Inn defeated Sun Inn 2-1, while Angel Inn prevailed 6-3 against Summit Inn.
In division one, Byron Street were held to a 3-3 draw by AFC Church, allowing White Hart to go top after a 3-2 win at 3D Dynamos B, while Red Lion Lees won 2-1 at Clayton Athletic.
Wellington extended their lead in division two as they won 4-1 at Parkside and Fitton Hill Rangers drew 3-3 with Westwood Wanderers.
Elsewhere, Front House beat Top House 8-2, Red Star won 4-3 at Minders Arms, while Manor Inn earned their first win of the campaign with a 2-0 victory against North Star.
Division three leaders Halfway House lost their 100 per cent record after losing 3-2 to FC Broadgate.
Old Grey Mare missed out on taking top spot after they could only lose 3-1 at Crompton and Royton.
In the other games, White Hart, Hollins, were 4-2 winners at Rifle Range, while Waggon and Horses are still seeking their first points after losing 4-3 at Royton Athletic.
