Another away defeat

HOLLINWOOD went down to a 58-6 defeat at Liversedge where, with only 13 players, they were always going to struggle.

On a big, wide pitch, the home side rotated their team and left Hollinwood struggling to cover in defence.

They looked as good as Liversedge with the ball in hand, but mistakes saw them turn the ball over.

As their pack tired in the heat, Hollinwood's backs were unable to handle the hosts' attack and scored their only try through Martin Swan, who also added the goal.

  • THE club is looking for players to boost its numbers. Training is at Melrose Playing Fields on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.
