FOUR second-half tries saw St Annes lose at Siddal as their hosts moved into sixth place in the NCL Premier Division.

With both teams desperate for the points, it was Siddal who opened the scoring after 20 minutes through Matty Dunn's try.

St Annes got on the scoresheet when Gary Rafferty intercepted and ran the length of the field for a try under the posts, converted by Chris Conway.

However, the slope began to tell after half-time as Siddal quickly took the lead through Tony Sawyer's try, consolidating it with a Dale Taylor try converted by Scott Caley.

Oldham did get within two points on the hour when Collins created a try under the posts for Chris Worth, and Conway's goal made it 14-12.

Another Saints attack failed to produce anything as the ball went out on the full, Siddal loose forward George Ambler stretching the home side's lead with a try.

Lee Forsythe was then denied a try in the corner for Saints before scrum-half Chris Brooke converted his own try and added a drop goal to secure the points.

Saints' A side lost 20-12 against Wigan St Patrick's, despite taking the lead with Brett Worrall's try.

Jason Akeroyd crossed for their other try, Paul Lord adding two goals as Saints still seek their first win of the season.
