Booth Masters events

OLDHAM and Royton Harriers' Paula Booth had a great day at the Civil Services Masters Championships at Battersea Park.

She won the shot put (7.75m) and javelin (21.70m) before finishing second in the 100m (15.3s) and 80m hurdles (14.5s).

There was also a runners-up spot for her age group at the British Masters Pentathlon Championships at Jarrow, while the Northern Veterans Championship saw her win the 200m (31.1s) as well as take second in the 100m (14.6s) and 80m hurdles (14.0s).

On the roads, Rob Ingham set a new personal best of 34:42 for fifth place in the Boggart Chase 10k event at Boggart Hole Clough, Blackley. Mike Mannings was 10th in 36:22.
