Angel are hit for six

THE D & J Builders (North West) Oldham Sunday League got under way last week as High Crompton CC hit Angel Inn for six on their way to a Premier Division victory.

The other top-flight games saw Sun Inn 7-2 victors at Summit Inn, Orb prevail 4-2 at 3D Dynamos and Failsworth Athletic draw 1-1 with Chaddy End.

The top score of the weekend came in division one where Byron Street were comprehensive 11-2 winners over Shaw FC.

Just behind were Haughton Athletic who defeated Red Lion, Lees, 10-4, while White Hart beat Church Inn 7-2 and 3D Dynamos won 5-0 at Clayton Athletic.

In division two, Red Star were 7-3 winners over Minders Arms, while Fitton Hill Rangers edged out Parkside 5-4.

Wellington beat Top House 3-2, Westwood Wanderers and Manor Inn drew 2-2.

Division three saw a brace of 3-3 draws in the games between Grasshopper and Crompton Royton, and Royton Athletic and White Hart, Hollins.

The other games saw Rifle Range beat Waggon and Horses 3-2, while Halfway House defeated Old Grey Mare 2-1.
