Rain ruins league’s latest programme

A NUMBER of Tameside Ladies Bowling League matches were postponed because of waterlogged greens.
Of the games which did take place, division leaders Friezland A consolidated their place at the top with a one-sided victory over Fitzroy.
Etherow closed the gap on division two pacesetters St Pauls with a win at Riverside, while Hyde Park and King Georges were victorious against Victoria Park A and Cedar Park B respectively.
Division three leaders Stalybridge Labour prevailed against Friezland B and Gamesley edged out Soroptimists in their encounter.
