Shadaz is going one over the eight

HOLLINWOOD'S Saddleworth and District Criket League title hopes kept very much alive after an eight-wicket victory over Droylsden at Lime Lane on Saturday.
Once again, overseas amateur Gaurav Sharma was Droylsden's top scorer with 32 as Hollinwood's medium-fast bowler Shadaz Sadaqat ripped through the Oakfield batsmen.
Sadaqat, the former Moorside player, finished with the astonishing figures of 9-61 in 19.2 overs. Apart from Sharma, only skipper Gareth Dent (22) and Neil Pearson (21) offered any kind of resistance.
Hollinwood comfortably reached the required total in the 20th over, losing only two wickets in the process. Mudassar Butt (51) and Pakistani professional Aamer Bashir (54 not out) were the main contributors.
The second XI completed a double by wininng the reverse fixture at Oakfield, chasing down Droylsden's total of 203 in which Daniel Parish compiled 69.
