Mark helps Oldham take derby day honours

OLDHAM took the derby honours as they returned from Royton with a seven-wicket win on Sunday.
The home side were dismissed for 76 batting first, Mark Charlton taking 5-34 for Oldham.
That was also the day that Werneth recorded their first win of the Lake Garage CLL season with a 115-run victory over Ashton.
Mark Vermeulen and Darren Shadford hit half-centuries as Werneth made 228-8, Ridee with 4-69.
In reply, four wickets for Alan Durose saw Ashton all out for 113
Werneth had lost at Littleborough the day before where the hosts made 196-6 before dismissing them for 105.
Royton were beaten on Saturday as they made 130-9 in reply to Radcliffe's 170-9.
Saturday also saw Oldham lose against Walsden, posting 125-9 before Walsden squeezed home by three wickets.
However, it was a poor weekend for Crompton who suffered a pair of defeats.
The first was against Norden when, having restricted their opponents to 120-8, Crompton were then dismissed for 84.
Sunday then brought a four-wicket loss to Walsden who made 191-6 after bowling Crompton out for 188.
Woodhouses earned a Walkden Cup tie against Denton St Lawrence after beating Thornham by seven wickets, reaching 104-3 in reply to 101 all out.
They lost at Denton on Saturday, dismissed for 95 chasing 122-9.
