Kevin at the double

WATERHEAD'S Kevin Hobson took home two awards from last week's Mark Norris Building Services NW Counties League's presentation dinner at Old Trafford.

He won the secretary of the year prize as well as taking home an award for 10 years' service.

The evening also saw prizes for Blackbrook's Mark Lee (coach of the year), Bank Quay Bulls' Paul Cragg, Roose Pioneers' Paul Skewes, Clock Face's Lee Burrows, Leigh Miners' Gary Fitzmartin (divisional players of the year), while Darren Hayes was referee of the year.

Elsewhere, Pilkington Recs won the fair play prize, Cadishead's Gail Hall and Roose Pioneers' Peter Evans also won 10-year service awards, while the St Helens League's management committee representative Jim Williams was made a life member.
