Summit pay penalty
17/ 5/2006
SUN Inn won the Glyn Webb Oldham Sunday League's President's Trophy after they overcame Summit Inn on penalties.
Summit had taken a first-half lead through Andrew Nuttall's early goal before they were pegged back by James Curley's equaliser for Sun Inn.
Although both sides had opportunities to win the game, they failed to take them and forced the game into a penalty shoot-out which Sun Inn won.
The only league match saw division two champions Byron Street warm up for their Challenge Cup final by way of a 10-3 victory over bottom club Junction Premier.
Byron are only 90 minutes from completing the treble having already secured the league title and divisional shield.
