Division one title race hots up as duo record victories

DIVISION one of the Oldham and District Table Tennis League appears to be emerging as a two-horse race.

Both BAE A and Werneth A recorded maximum wins over Rosehill B and Honeywell A respectively.

Werneth B won 9-1 at Hollinwood A, while OTTC B were victorious 7-3 at bottom side Werneth C.

Hollinwood C maintained their promotion push in division two with a 7-3 victory over Grotton A

The other end of the table looks interesting with any two from the bottom five facing the drop.

Failsworth B look doomed after a 10-0 reverse at the hands of First Transport, while second-bottom Hollinwood E went down 7-3 against Honeywell B whose C team drew 5-5 with Hyde YM B.

Uppermill A remain top of division three after a 6-4 win over Owls A, although Grotton B lost ground as they lost by the same score at Gilders A.

Honeywell D remained in touch after an 8-2 win over Failsworth D, while Community Centre and Failsworth C drew.

Unison D are the new leaders in division four after a 9-1 win at lowly Failsworth E.

Oldham Deaf did OTTC C's promotion hopes no favours after holding them to a 5-5 draw.

Owls B defeated Honeywell E 8-2, while Werneth E edged out Saddleworth CC 6-4.
