THE Glyn Webb Challenge Cup second round saw a few shocks for Oldham Sunday League clubs, most notably Pine Villa Youth's 2-1 loss against Wellington and Summit Inn's 7-3 defeat at White Hart.
Failsworth Athletic and Dog Inn both progressed into the next round at the expense of lower league opposition, beating Westwood 4-2 and Wheatsheaf 5-0 respectively.
The only all-Premier Division tie saw 3D Dynamos A claim their place in round three with a 2-1 win over Shaw Athletic.
Elsewhere there were wins for Houghton Athletic against Moorside's Waggon and Horses (3-0), Hollins over Red Lion Lees (2-0), FC Paris against Crompton's Waggon and Horses (6-1), Byron Street against Big Shorts (5-1), Chaddy End over 3D Dynamos B (3-1), and Coppice United against Limehurst Victoria (4-2).
The matches between Manor and Royton Athletic, and Rifle Range and Boundary Park Old Boys finished in 2-2 and 1-1 draws respectively.
League action saw Premier Division leaders High Crompton Conservative Club extend their lead to seven points with a 4-3 win over Sun Inn, a match in which there were seven different scorers.
The only other game saw Shaun Weaver score six times as Royton Band Club beat Shaw FC 12-2.
In division one, the only game saw Church Inn move out of the relegation spots with a 2-1 win at bottom club Parkside.
Division three leaders Fitton Hill Rangers are now seven points clear after beating second-placed Red Star 4-2.
