Katie battles for a bronze

OLDHAM and Royton Harriers' Katie Keeley was star of the show at the Greater Manchester Cross Country Championships at Little Lever, taking bronze in the under-17s ladies race.
Lorna Hill was 14th in the under-15s section in 12:48, followed by Jessica Clarkson (26th, 14:17). The under-13s race saw Natalie Mannings 17th in 14:04.
In the senior ladies' four-mile race, Louise Clarkson was 19th in 28:55, followed by Sara Bott (28th, 30:37).
Sam Witter was 15th in the under-15s event, the same position Mike Mannings achieved in the under-17s category.
