Whitewash for on-song Werneth

WERNETH A are mounting a serious challenge for the Oldham and District Table Tennis League division one title after a 10-0 formality against BAE B.

Hollinwood A's bright start to the season faltered somewhat with a 7-3 reverse against Rosehill A, the score by which Hollinwood B defeated Werneth C.

Elsewhere, Hyde YM A were 6-4 winners at Werneth B.

Division two saw 7-3 victories for Unison A and Honeywell C against Honeywell B and Failsworth A respectively, while leaders Uppermill A beat Failsworth B 10-0.

In division three, there were 9-1 wins for Honeywell D and Unison B against Coldhurst C and Failsworth D respectively.

There were also 7-3 victories for Grotton's B team over Failsworth C, and for Owls A against Gilders B.

Division four brought 6-4 wins for Unison D against Owls B, Failsworth F over Coldhurst F and Saddleworth CC against Coldhurst E.

There were also 7-3 triumphs for OTTC over Honeywell E and Werneth E against Failsworth E.
