Rosehill start to move away

ROSEHILL A steered clear of the division one relegation zone in the Oldham and District Table Tennis League after an 8-2 win over Honeywell A.

Hollinwood B defeated Hyde YM A 7-3, the score by which OTTC B beat Rosehill B and Werneth C drew with Glodwick.

In division two, lowly Coldhurst A were narrowly beaten at leaders Uppermill A 6-4 as were Unison A against Hollinwood C.

Pennine and First Transport drew 5-5 as did Hollinwood E and Hyde YM B, while Honeywell C prevailed 7-3 at Grotton A.

The top match in division three saw leaders Uppermill B prevail 7-3 against third-placed Grotton B.

Second-placed Werneth D beat Gilders B 8-2, while Owls A were 9-1 winners against Unison C.

Coldhurst D steamrollered Werneth F 10-0 in division four, Uppermill C edged Owls B 6-4, the score by which Unison D beat Coldhurst E, while Werneth E beat Coldhurst F 9-1.

In the Lancs and Cheshire League, the vets' first team beat Preston 6-4 and the A side registered an 8-2 success.

The B team drew 5-5 with Trafford, while Oldham's F team defeated their E side 7-3.
