WERNETH B had their unbeaten run in the Oldham and District Table Tennis League's first division shattered by champions OTTC A who won 9-1.

A Tony Bates treble, backed by doubles from Tom Lang and Peter Bradford maintained the push of BAE A with an 8-2 win at Rosehill A.

Unbeaten stints from Jon De Pledge and Dave Buckley keep Hollinwood A in the frame after an 8-2 success over bottom side Werneth C.

Paul Rowbotham trebled for Honeywell A backed by a Tim Baker double in the 7-3 win over lowly Rosehill B.

Kamal Hussain was unbeaten, backed by doubles from Majid Tubasum and Siful Khan in the 8-2 win for Glodwick over Hyde YM A.

Division two leaders Uppermill A were pegged back with a 5-5 draw at Hyde YM B.

Steve Lyons trebled for YM backed by a Denis Bradshaw double with Glen Hewitt replying likewise.

A Ken Ward maximum, backed by doubles from Terry Cooper and Ken Dunkerley, helped Honeywell B to an 8-2 win at Coldhurst A.

Doubles from Honeywell C's Ian Naylor, Barrie Royle and Adam Rowbotham were the platform of their 7-3 win over Hollinwood E.

Trebles from Phil Holmes and Joe Redikin helped Hollinwood C to an 8-2 win at Failsworth B.

Division three looks very tight with several sides in the promotion picture.

Leaders Uppermill B had Mark Simpson and Keith Moores to thank for trebles in a 9-1 win at Failsworth D.

An excellent treble by Honeywell C junior, Adam Rowbotham helped them to a draw against Failsworth C.

Geoff Hollin's treble was in vain for Coldhurst B as doubles from Fred Woods and Tony Robinson edged the 6-4 scoreline in favour of Gilders B.

Steve Slater was unbeaten for Unison C, backed by a Peter Jones double, in a 7-3 success over bottom side Coldhurst C.

Division four leaders Coldhurst D swept aside Failsworth E 10-0, Malcolm Wills, Terry Holland and Adrian Waugh the architects of the rout.

A John Mark maximum kept Unison D in second spot after their 6-4 win over Honeywell E for whom Aaron Rowbotham notched two.

A Philip Coombe treble for Werneth E helped share the points with Deaf Club.

Ian Cochrane and Stuart Davis responded with doubles for a side who remain likely to climb the league table.

A Philip Tamworth maximum, backed by doubles from David Foden and Dinesh Gorasia, helped Owls B to an 8-2 win over Werneth F for whom Peter Aspinall posted two.
