Six-shooters stay unbeaten

WERNETH B remain the only unbeaten side in the Oldham and District Table Tennis League's first division after a 6-4 win over Rosehill B.

That was the score by which Hyde YM A won at Rosehill A, while Werneth A prevailed 8-2 at Hollinwood A.

Division two saw Hyde YM B inflict a second defeat of the season on Hollinwood C, while Honeywell C beat their B side 6-4.

There was a draw between Failsworth A and Grotton A, leaders Uppermill A swept aside Hollinwood D 9-1, while Pennine beat Failsworth B 7-3.

Unison B are now joint leaders of division three after beating Owls A 8-2, while Werneth D were beaten by Grotton B.

Gilders B defeated Failsworth D 7-3, while there were 6-4 victories for Coldhurst B and Uppermill B against Owls A and Gilders A respectively.

Division four newcomers Saddleworth CC recorded their first win with an 8-2 victory at Coldhurst F.

That was also the margin of victory for Honeywell E at Werneth F, while leaders Coldhurst D beat Deaf Club 6-4 and Coldhurst E prevailed 7-3 at Failsworth E.

Oldham Ladies began their inter-league campaign with a 9-1 win over Bolton.
