A Wire win
2/11/2005
SEVERAL members of the Oldham under-18s town team made strong claims for inclusion in the North West squad after a 16-14 win against Warrington.
They led on 13 minutes through a Jonny Horton try, converted by Carl Sneyd, before Craig Highton went over on 34 minutes.
Despite Warrington kicking a penalty on half-time, Oldham extended their lead as Horton raced over, Sneyd adding the extras.
With Oldham rotating their squad, Warrington scored two converted tries in five minutes.
Oldham now travel to St Helens on November 9, while the under-11s visit Warrington on Saturday. Kick-off is 10.30am.
