A double disaster for Rosehill’s teams

THE latest Oldham and District Table Tennis League matches saw Rosehill's A and B teams in the division one relegation zone after 10-0 losses to Werneth A and Hollinwood A respectively.

OTTC B returned to winning ways after a 7-3 win over Glodwick, the score by which Werneth B beat BAE B.

Division two saw 6-4 wins for Failsworth B and Hollinwood E over Coldhurst A and Failsworth A, while Uppermill stay top after a 7-3 victory against First Transport and Unison A drew 5-5 with Hyde YM B.

Werneth D head division three after a 6-4 victory over Failsworth D with third-placed Grotton B maintaining their promotion push with an 8-2 win at Coldhurst B.

Uppermill B beat Unison C 6-4, while there were 9-1 victories for Honeywell D and Failsworth C over Gilders B and Coldhurst C respectively.

Division four saw leaders Coldhurst D beat their bottom-placed F side 10-0 with a 7-3 win seeing OTTC C closing the gap on second-placed Uppermill C.

Elsewhere, Honeywell E beat Failsworth E 8-2, Coldhurst E defeated Werneth E 7-3, while Owls B and Deaf Club drew 5-5.

The start of the Lancs and Cheshire League fixtures saw Oldham's mens A team beat Mid Cheshire 5-1 and Bury 4-2 before losing 4-2 against both Trafford and Liverpool A.

Oldham B vets won 6-4 at Barrow, while the D team drew 5-5 at Kendal.
