Teens on trial

OLDHAM'S under-18s town team face Warrington this weekend as they bid for a place in a regional under-18s squad to face Yorkshire in December.

That Roses match will see a squad chosen to represent Great Britain's under-18s in forthcoming matches against France, Australia and New Zealand, so there is plenty to play for.

The Oldham squad is: Junior Blandford, Jack Brennan, Liam Hall, Jonny Horton, Aaron Muller, Eddie Newall (Saddleworth Rangers); Mickey Brown, Ian Dawes, Mickey Diveney, Scott Frost, Chris Hepworth, Craig Highton, Danny Knight, Jamie Knight, Carl Sneyd, Alan Williamson (Waterhead); Chris Clarke, Zac Cotton, Ben Fitzhugh, Daz Fletcher, Daniel Foy, Eric Johnson, Daniel Wood (Oldham St Annes).

Kick-off at Waterhead is noon.
