Bob answers a late call-up

LATE replacement Bob Johnson rolled back the years by trebling for Hollinwood A in an 8-2 win over BAE B in the Oldham and District Table Tennis League's division one.

Rosehill A beat their newly-promoted B team 6-4, while early pacesetters BAE A comfortably dispatched OTTC B 9-1.

Honeywell prevailed 6-4 against Hollinwood B, the score by which Hyde YM A triumphed over Werneth A.

Division two leaders Hollinwood C won 8-2 at Failsworth B, Honeywell C were victorious by the same score against Coldhurst A, while First Manchester and Unison A shared the points.

In division three, leaders Werneth D won 9-1 at Unison C with Honeywell D recording a 6-4 victory against Grotton B.

Failsworth D went down 7-3 to Owls A, as did Coldhurst B against Gilders A and Coldhurst C against Gilders B. The other match saw Uppermill B beat Failsworth C 6-4.

In division four, Coldhurst D were 9-1 victors against Honeywell E, while there was a 7-3 win for OTTC C at Werneth E.

Unison D prevailed 8-2 at Werneth F while there were 6-4 wins for Failsworth E, Coldhurst E and Deaf Club against Saddleworth CC, Owls B and Failsworth F respectively.
