SADDLEWORTH remain top of the Per-Fit Windows Saddleworth and District Cricket League as the campaign gets set for the run-in.

They were indebted to skipper Peter Skuse whose 7-35 stopped Shaw from reaching their target of 148 as they ended on 134 all out.

Nearest challengers Bamford Fieldhouse were comfortable victors against Droylsden.

Elsewhere, third-placed Hollinwood were 114-run winners against Uppermill as they reached 247-3 before dismissing their opponents for 133.

Greenfield emerged victorious by 70 runs from their encounter with Moorside, making 225-9 and bowling out Moorside for 155 in reply.

Anthony Edden took 8-56 as Heyside dismissed Stayley for 109, having earlier totalled 194-9.

Saturday's final division one game saw Friarmere compile 165-9 against Austerlands who were then dismissed for 150.

DAVID Gandy stroked a masterly unbeaten 73 to steer Dukinfield to victory over Woodhouses at Higher King Street on Saturday. In reply to 196-9, Dukinfield lost three men for 45 but Dukinfield eventually ran out victors with eight balls and two wickets remaining.
