Saddleworth lose top spot

DEFEAT against Hollinwood saw long-time leaders Saddleworth overtaken at the top of the Per-Fit Windows Saddleworth and District Cricket League.

Batting first, Hollinwood totalled 175-9 before they dismissed Peter Skuse's side for a meagre 98 to secure a 77-run victory.

Bamford Fieldhouse are the new table-toppers thanks to a 145-run demolition of Moorside which saw Lincoln Roberts make 121 in their 208 all out, before Bamford skittled out Moorside for 63.

Elsewhere, Greenfield were 134-run victors against Shaw as they made 215 batting first before dismissing their opponents for 81.

Stayley were all out for 138 against Uppermill who eventually reached their target with four wickets in hand, while Heyside dismissed Austerlands for 117 on their way to a 10-wicket victory.

Sunday saw Hollinwood retain the Moore Cup with a 67-run victory against Stayley.

Having made 228-9 batting first, Hollinwood dismissed Stayley for 161 in reply.
