No harm to Hind’s title bid

DESPITE dropping two points against Europa Exiles, Jay Hind I remain top of the Ashton and Oldham Cricket Alliance.

Batting first, Europa frustrated Hind by making 139-6 before Mitesh's 60 saw the home side reach 140-6 in reply.

Bharat closed the gap with victory against St Mary's HC as Pritesh took 5-15 to dismiss them for 100, while Viral's 62 saw them home by nine wickets.

Branham took 6-11 as St Mary's OPC were 38 all out against St Anne's who took maximum points with 42-2.

Jay Hind II reached 144-7 against Radclyffe II who saw Robinson make 40 to guide them home on 145-6.

Clarke hit 56 as Radclyffe I made 138 against Levenshulme Cavaliers who reached their target with seven wickets in hand, Farrar 55 not out.

Newtonhurst were 46 all out at Cane Studios but Kirk's 6-12 and Drummond's 4-20 saw the hosts dismissed for 32.

Sunday saw Heywood make 63 as Waterhead Methodist reached 145 against Europa Exiles who won by six wickets as Wharmby hit an unbeaten 63.
