Terrors taught lesson

THIRTY teams from Oldham and surrounding areas were in action at a netball tournament at Oldham Sports Centre on Sunday.
Girls aged from year three to year nine took part, representing teams from Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Audenshaw.
Oldham had two teams competing in the Year Three and Four final which saw Dolphins outplay Little Terrors to win 4-1.
The Year Five and Six event saw Oldham Smarties lose 7-2 in the final against Rochdale A.
The Oldham Black Adders, Oldham Gold-Diggers and Oldham Lizards teams were knocked out in the semi-finals at the Year Seven and Eight, plus Year Nine and over events. Stockport Romans took the Year nine title, beating Dominoes Black 15-11.
OCL netball development officer Nadia Wilkins said: "The teams from Oldham that play only at club level at Oldham Sports Centre every Saturday were faced with tough opposition."
- JUNIOR teams are needed to play in the Saturday League at Oldham Sports Centre, while places remain for the Ladies League played on Wednesdays.
