OLDHAM have agreed a five-figure shirt sponsorship deal with local haulage and distribution firm TT Express.

The one-year deal will see the Roughyeds' 2005 season away kit sporting the TTX logo and re-designed in the TTX corporate company colours of green and blue.

The 30-year-old Chadderton firm, based at Lansdowne Road, sponsored a match and a golf day last season before deciding to get more involved.

Chairman Chris Hamilton, said: "It's a new sponsor teaming up with the club, which we are particularly pleased about and we hope this will prove to be a long and successful partnership.

"While we won't reveal details of the exact financial package, I can say that there is a substantial five-figure sum involved.

"The TTX logo will be on both the re-designed home and away shirts which should be available for supporters to buy in the club during the first week of February."

TTX managing director, Dave Taylor, is continuing a family association with the club - his grandfather Billy Wood played at loose-forward for the club between 1943 and 1948.

"I first really got involved when we attended a game as part of my 40th birthday celebrations last year," he said.

"I was hooked very quickly and we now try to get to as many games as possible, home and away.

"We are doing quite well as a company and it's nice to try and help the town out a little bit by putting something back into the community."
