Siddal succumb to 'wood

'WOOD battled gamely to pick up their first win of 2005 after finding themselves 10 points down in the opening minutes.

They conceded two tries and a conversion early on before hitting back with converted tries from Mike Richmond and Kevin Collins.

'Wood then conceded another try late in the half and Siddal crossed again soon after the restart to make it 20-12.

But, led by Richmond, Hollinwood's forwards then began to take control.

Tyrone Bennett crashed over for an unconverted try and then Dean Skilling scored a try out wide to level the scores at 20-20.

And the fightback was completed late on as Skilling crossed again and Collins then converted before adding a drop goal to give 'Wood a morale-boosting win.
