Semi spot up for grabs

THERE will be at least one Oldham side in the semi-finals of this year's JW Lees Wood Cup following the draw made on Monday.

The first round sees Oldham face Royton on Sunday, May 22 with the winners going on to face Crompton - who received a bye - in the last eight on Sunday, June 5.

The borough's other CLL team Werneth travel to Heywood for their first round match with the winners then hosting the winners of the match between Walsden and Littleborough.

The first round draw is: Oldham v Royton, Monton and Weaste v Unsworth, Ashton v Middleton, Radcliffe v Milnrow, Walsden v Littleborough, Heywood v Werneth, Norden v Rochdale. Bye - Crompton.

The second round reads: Ashton/Middleton v Radcliffe/Milnrow, Norden/Rochdale v Monton and Weaste/Unsworth, Crompton. Oldham/Royton, Heywood/Werneth v Walsden/Littleborough.

The semi-finals are on July 3, and the final at Ashton on August 7.
