Scorpions stung
27/10/2004
Rugby League
SHAW Rhinos took an early lead against Blackpool Scorpions that they never relinquished after Chris Conway converted his own try.
In an error and penalty-strewn first-half, they stuttered to an interval lead of 11-6, thanks to two Chris Conway penalties and a field goal.
Shaw then upped their game after the restart and ran in three further tries through Lee Graham, Adam Walker and Conway, with the latter converting all three and kicking a penalty as Rhinos secured a 31-18 win.
Shaw next travel to Haydock on Saturday in the first round of the North West Counties Cup.
