BAE hit for six as Failsworth establish early lead

FAILSWORTH A are the early leaders of the Oldham Table Tennis League's first division following a 6-4 win over Wilmslow side BAE A.
Dave Griffith was unbeaten, backed by Simon Abraham (two).
The 7-3 win for Werneth A over Rosehill A saw them move into second spot.
Honeywell A made a solid start to the season with a 5-5 draw against Hyde YM A, Paul Rowbotham scoring twice.
Phil Myers was unbeaten for Werneth B in their 5-5 draw at Hollinwood A.
Hollinwood C head division two after a 6-4 win over First Transport, Phil Holmes unbeaten.
Joint leaders Failsworth C had to settle for a draw against Unison A.
Pennine lost 8-2 at Werneth C, Doreen Schofield trebling with doubles from Bernard Davies and Paul Wilkinson.
Hamer Delph lead division three after a 7-3 win at Comm Centre.
Gilders A had Dave Cunniffe and Martin Nicholls to thank for trebles in their 7-3 win at Werneth D.
A maximum from John Maher helped Unison C into second spot with a 6-4 win at Gilders B.
Coldhurst B edged Failsworth D 6-4, Simon Walsh and Tom Chandler scoring two each with Paul Carter and Nathan Buckley replying likewise.
Honeywell C are the early fourth division pacesetters after a 7-3 win at Uppermill C.
Werneth E beat their F team 7-3. Dave Renton unbeaten with Colette Lord and Peter Aspinall scoring twice.
Daniel Cooper's treble was in vain as Failsworth H lost 7-3 to their F team.
Coldhurst D beat Failsworth G 8-2, Malcolm Willis trebling.
