Second match switch

THE Roughyeds' second and last rescheduled 'home' game against Halifax at Chorley's Victory Park has been moved forward 24 hours to Saturday, July 10 (3pm kick-off).

Chorley Lynx are holding a function on the Sunday which meant Oldham officials had little choice other than to agree to the switch.

Chairman Chris Hamilton said: "It's a further inconvenience, but again we are laying on subsidised travel."

"For the Whitehaven game we got a crowd of 752 at Chorley which, in the circumstances - and considering they didn't bring many fans - was not catastrophic."

"However, we would urge as many fans as possible to please make the journey and show their support."

Coaches will leave the Alfred Street social club at 1.30pm on the day and return immediately after the game.

Seats cost £3 each and fans are urged to book quickly.

Subscriptions are now due for the Oldham Rugby League social club.

Application forms for new members and renewals are available at the Oldham RLFC offices, 14 Waterloo Street.

Renewal costs £5 for adults and £3 for senior citizens.
