Talbot wants safety with style

LATICS' boss Brian Talbot has called on his players to finish the season in style and ensure their second division safety in Saturday's home game with Chesterfield.

The fine win against Swindon has put Latics in a strong position to survive, with just one more point needed.

Talbot said: "We will be looking to win on Saturday to send the fans home happy in our last home game of the season. I hope we can win our last two games and finish as high up in the league as possible."

"The last three games have put is in a good position and I have been delighted with how hard the players have worked since I came to the club."

"It will be a difficult game as Chesterfield are in a perilous position and they want to stay in the division."
