Boss wants chances

21/ 4/2004

A PHILOSOPHICAL Brian Talbot said Latics' draw with Wrexham had again highlighted his side's difficulty in putting teams to the sword at Boundary Park.

"We have only lost one game in nine now, but the situation we are in, we have to try and win our home games", he said.

"I knew these problems after I had been here three weeks and they are not going to go away easily."

"Our goal was a shot by Jermaine Johnson and Dean Holden got on the end of it with a good finish, but then we needed to regroup and we tried to match them up in the second half, just to try and create a goal."

"Let's be honest, we didn't create enough chances and have enough attempts at goal for a home team."
