Conway hat-trick as Rhinos charge clear

RHINOS got back to winning ways without hitting top-form against Burtonwood Bridge in the NWC Second Division.

They got off to a good start with an early Craig Hernon try, brilliantly goaled from the touchline by Danny Atherton.

Burtonwood hit back with a try, but Shaw then took complete control with tries from Gary Walkden and a first half hat-trick from Chris Conway - all converted by Atherton - to lead 30-8 at half-time.

Rhinos continued to dominate after the restart even though they were playing into a strong wind.

They added four more tries from Ben Brown, Lee Graham, Paul Spencer, and a fourth from Chris Conway, with Danny Atherton converting three in tricky goalkicking conditions.

Best for Shaw were Danny Atherton, Lee Graham, and Chris Wright.

• RHINOS play away at Blackpool Scorpions next Saturday before tackling Langworthy in the Standard Cup at George Street, on Sunday, December 28, kick-off at 1pm.
