Headache for Swindon date

LATICS' boss Iain Dowie is desperate to strengthen his squad for the visit of Swindon Town on Saturday.

Manchester City goalkeeper Keiren Westwood joined on a three-month loan deal as cover for Les Pogliacomi, but Latics' injury problems continue to grow.

Midfielder Darren Sheridan has a suspected leg stress fracture while hamstring victim Paul Murray will be out for at least four weeks.

John Eyre is available again after suspension, and Will Haining has returned to training and may return if plans to re-sign Fulham's Mark Hudson are unsuccessful.

Striker Chris Killen has had surgery to his metatarsal injury while David Eyres (foot) is a month away from a comeback.

Swindon arrive in poor form after picking up two points from 21 and exiting the FA Cup at Wycombe.
