Tintwistle out on their own at summit

TINTWISTLE are out on their own at the top of the Tameside Ladies Bowling League’s division one.

Having gone into their latest game level on points with Friezland A, Tintwistle saw off Uppermill 10.5-3 while Friezland A defeated Saddleworth 9-3.

That was the score by which Royton Park got the better of Carrbrook, while Stamford Park beat Moorside 10-1.5 and Stalybridge Rec A prevailed 7.5-6 at Diggle in the other games.

Division two frontrunners St Pauls are six points ahead of Norths after they saw off Woodley 9-3 and Norths won 7.5-6 at Fitzroy.

Third-placed Hyde Park prevailed 9-4 at Etherow, Riverside defeated Cedar Park B 9-3, while King Georges were 12-2 winners at Cedar Park A.

Dukinfield Park A are a point clear of Stalybridge Labour in division three after wins over Friezland B (8-4.5) and Stalybridge Rec B (9-4) respectively.

Grapes Hotel are also in contention following a 10.5-3 victory at Manor Park, keeping them ahead of Victoria Park B who won 12-2 at Haughton Green Ladies.

Elsewhere, Dukinfield Park B recorded a 10.5-3 victory at Manor Park while Victoria Park A eadged out Gamesley 7-6.
