Mixed fortunes

OLDHAM Athletic’s under-10s were beaten 5-0 in their League Cup tie at Uppermill Rockettes last week.

The under-12s won their division one League Cup match at Droylsden Juniors 2-1 thanks to goals from Jessica Bevan and Abbie Porter.

However, there was a 6-0 defeat against Heyside Angels’ navy team for the under-12s’ division two squad.

Their under-14s Girls team were beaten 6-1 by Rochdale in the League Cup last Friday, Nicole Scott with the consolation, while Faye Hardacre and Megan Steel gave the blue team a 2-2 draw at Heyside Angels’ yellow team.

Both Latics’ under-14s then played each other in the final league game of the season, the Blues running out 7-1 winners with Hardacre, Steel and Courtney Hunter all on target.

Sarah Ryan and Becky Hall netted as the under-16s won 2-1 at Heyside Angels, but there was a 3-2 defeat for the Ladies in their League Cup semi-final against Barr Hill Ladies despite goals from Tina Mellor and Shirley Boulton.
