Three but not easy

9/ 4/2008

THREE wins in six days saw Saddleworth Rangers’ under-18s reach the play-off stages of the Halifax National Youth League.

Part one of the trilogy came last Tuesday with a 13-6 win over Ryland Sharks, Adam Jeffries crossing for a try with Ethan Langhorn kicking four goals and a drop goal.

They then defeated Elland 30-12 on Thursday with tries from Matthew Newton, Tom Dransfield, Dale Lowe, Callum Willis and Langhorn, who added five goals.

The third victory came when they defeated Waterhead 18-16 on Sunday, Langhorn, Josh Brown and Stephen Neild scoring tries with Langhorn adding three goals.

Those victories see Rangers face Keighley Cougar Cubs in the first round eliminator.
