More friends reunited as Sinfield signs

THE Roughyeds have completed their forward line-up for the 2007 season with the acquisition of Ian Sinfield.

He is another player making a comeback to the Roughyeds for the upcoming campaign, along with the likes of Neil Roden and Wes Rogers.

Sinfield captained Swinton Lions last season when they lost the National League Two Grand Final against Sheffield Eagles.

Chairman Chris Hamilton said: "Steve Deakin's had a couple of chats with him over the past few weeks and it looked at one stage as if he was going to rejoin Swinton.

"When we found out that wasn't happening, we got back in touch with him. I had a meeting with him last Friday and it happened from there.

"We're hoping to tie up a deal with a centre we've been chasing for a couple of weeks in the next few days. He's working away, so I'm just waiting for a call so I can meet up with him.

"Once that's done, we'll be concentrating on getting a specialist full-back in. All the forward places are now taken care of."

Hamilton also revealed that a new kit launch will be taking place in the New Year once 'a couple of sponsors' notify the club of their plans, while season ticket sales are thought to be along the same lines as those from this time last year.
