Dodd’s now a Viking

ROUGHYEDS full-back Gavin Dodd has joined Widnes Vikings on a one-year deal.
Despite offers from other League clubs, Dodd had narrowed down his options to a straight choice between the Roughyeds and Widnes.
"It was a very tough decision." he said.
Dodd played 138 times for the Oldham first team and scored 60 tries. In the last three seasons, his consistency was such that he played in all but six of the team's 88 matches in cup and league.
Meanwhile, prop forward Danny Guest has come out of retirement to sign a one-year deal with the Roughyeds.
Guest, who started his pro rugby career with the now defunct Bears, will add much-needed size to the Oldham squad.
