Mercer blasts 'worst game' so far

OLDHAM coach Gary Mercer claimed Sunday's 34-32 loss against Batley Bulldogs was their worst display of the season.
Having led 28-0, the Roughyeds crashed to a defeat which ended their play-off hopes and pitched them into a survival battle.
Mercer said: "Winning the last two games will be a tough ask. We have to hold our hands up and say that's the worst game we've had all year.
"Even though we were drubbed by Whitehaven at the start (60-6), it hurts when you're 28 points up and then fold."
