Same again

26/ 3/2008

OLDHAM coach Steve Deakin is set to have the same 20 players available for Sunday’s home league game against York City Knights.

The 17 players who turned out against the Hawks on Easter Monday – plus Mick Nanyn, Richard Mervill and Danny Halliwell – will be fighting for selection as the Roughyeds look to make it three victories from their opening three league games.

Following wins against Rochdale Hornets and Hunslet Hawks in their opening league games on 2008, Oldham are hopeful that more people will descend on Boundary Park.

Monday’s gate of 1,168 was the second highest of the day in Co-operative National League Two and higher than any home gate Oldham attracted last season – except for the Celtic Crusaders game which was a £1 donation.
