Roughyeds’ double financial fillip

THE Roughyeds have been handed another boost after two long-standing sponsors have renewed their sponsorship deals for the 2008 season.

Totalplus Communications and FR Elswood have reached new agreements with the Roughyeds, who were in talks to appoint an assistant coach as the Advertiser went to press on Tuesday.

Totalplus, who specialise in the design, installation and management of structured cabling systems, have recently moved from Ashton-under-Lyne to Bury

FR Elswood (Ceilings and Partitions) Ltd are based at the Falcon Business Centre in Chadderton, not far from the Roughyeds’ office at Lansdowne Road.

Oldham chief executive Chris Hamilton said: "We are pleased to report that Totalplus have renewed their sponsorship for 2008 and that FR Elswood Ltd have renewed their sponsorship of the players’ shorts, both in new deals.

"Both companies have been sponsors of the club for a while and we are delighted to continue our relationship and our close association with them."

As well as those deals, this week also heralds the second year of a two-year main club sponsorship agreement with chairman Bill Quinn’s company, the William Quinn Group.

The club is also expecting to be able to announce further sponsorship details later this week.

NO further players are expected to join the Roughyeds for 2008 after Jason Boults’ arrival took the number of players signed up for next season to 24.
