Securing the title

A 5-1 win at Rossendale United saw Chaddy Hoppers’ under-12s’ blue team crowned as league champions for the second consecutive year.

Nathan Quinlan (two), Jordan Anderson, Matthew McGladdery and Ben Finch all netted to seal the title.

The under-11s’ blue team require four points to win their division after following a 5-1 midweek victory at Bridge Colts B with a 3-0 defeat of Little Lever thanks to goals from Josh Lindsay, Zac Douglas and Nathan Randle.

Hoppers’ red team also have a chance of lifting their league trophy, winning 5-1 at Summerseat Juniors in midweek before beating Bury Amateurs 8-0 with Josh O’Donnell, Dan Javed (three each), Josh Alker and Bradley Dalloway all netting.

The under-eights’ green squad finished their season in third place after a 5-1 win over Radcliffe Borough B in which Jac Bromby (two), Patrick Scott, Brandon Dronsfield and Dean Wright found the net.

Hoppers’ under-sevens beat Unsworth 10-0 in a friendly as Jayden McGratten (four), Harry Wild, Bailey Plowright and Tom Johnson (two each) all scored.
