Uppermill hit for six

HEYSIDE Angels’ under-16s beat Uppermill 6-1 in their Oldham Girls League Cup tie with Rachel McHugh (three), Rachel Lawton, Gemma Jacobs and Lyndsey Graham all scoring.

The under-14s’ yellow squad beat Oldham Athletic’s blue team 3-0 thanks to Raeanne Kaminski, Emma Holroyd and Jessica Cooke.

Their claret team defeated Curzon Ashton by the same score with goals from Lucy Shaylor, Lauren Parkinson and Blossom Halkyard.

Kelly Ward gave the under-12s’ claret team a 1-1 draw against Curzon Ashton while there was an 11-1 victory for the under-11s’ navy team against the whites.

Kayleigh Larkin, Paige Rowland, Leoni Harlan, Sophie Montgomery (two each), Georgia Anwas, Georgia Oliver and Sophie Chester scored for the navys, Hayley Tomlinson netting for the whites.

Elsewhere, Jade Hughes scored both goals as the under-10s’ white team defeated Curzon Ashton 2-0, the score by which the navy squad lost to Oldham Athletic.

Heyside Ladies won 7-3 at Brayton Belles thanks to Rachel Davies (four), Helen Smith, Fay Brierley and an own goal.
